Breaking the Sedentary Norm

The medical profession is immensely rewarding, but it is also notoriously demanding. Long shifts, irregular meals, and high stress often take a toll on healthcare providers. For a long time, I fell into this trap, watching my weight climb to 90 kilos.

Looking around, I noticed a troubling trend: many of my esteemed colleagues were fighting the very lifestyle diseases we treat daily, burdened by large stomachs and compromised fitness. I realized I couldn't be a true advocate for health if I wasn't practicing it myself.

That realization sparked a relentless dedication to my physical well-being. Without extreme diets or impossible regimens, I committed to moving. Step by step, pedal by pedal, I dropped down to a healthy 70 kilos. Today, my peers look to my journey as a source of admiration and proof that it's never too late to reclaim your health.

I have never participated in a professional competition. I don't train for the podium; I train for myself. The road and the trail are my sanctuaries.

Running is my meditation. Completing a marathon is a testament to mental endurance as much as physical stamina. I run entirely for personal achievement, pushing my own boundaries, and enjoying the rhythm of my breath against the pavement.
